Greg, Shar, Kamrie
and Wriley

Greg and Sharon met in the fall of 1989 while working at the local HEB in Temple on 31st Street. Sharon was attending the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and Greg was quickly working his way up the corporate ladder of HEB. They quickly became the best of friends.

Greg played a key role in encouraging Sharon to open her own consignment store. It was in the spring of 1995 that her dream became a reality. Shar’s Consignment Boutique began with its first location in Waco, Texas. Three years following Shar’s Consignment Boutique of Temple was opened. Shortly afterwards is when the two of them realized they were meant to be together. It had been 10 years of a strong friendship that had finally developed into something more. In January of 1999 they were married. In 2000 they were blessed with the birth of their first child Grace Kamrie. In 2005 they were blessed with the birth of their second baby girl -- Hope Wriley.

What is now known as Shar’s Consignment Boutique & babyShar’s (In Temple only) is now completing its eighth year in business. Shar’s currently has more than 10,000 consignors, sells upwards of 40,000 items per year, employs a staff of ten and is blessed to see sales continually rise.

In 2001 Greg and Sharon bought into the Maggie Moo’s Franchise and opened it in the Temple Towne Center between Petco and Hobby Lobby. Maggie Moo’s ice cream is made fresh daily in the store. They have over 50 varieties of flavors and numerous mix-ins that are blended together on a marble slab. Each order is made to the customers own creation. They specialize in shakes, smoothies and sundaes. Since 2002 they have consistently been awarded Temple Telegram’s Best Tasting Ice-cream Award. In 2003 Greg left the corporate world to oversee Maggie Moo’s completely. One year following they were awarded Most Improved Franchise in the company.
Although Greg enjoyed running the Maggie Moo’s business, he soon realized his potential would not be realized in the day to day operations of a single store. He then began brainstorming for another business that the Temple area needed and also complement the ice cream business as well. The end result – Schlotzsky’s!
In 2004 Greg and Sharon purchased the Schlotzsky’s franchise. It is currently scheduled to open some time around Christmas 2005. They plan on hiring a staff of @ 45 to help them provide an outstanding product with superior service.
“2 the Top Enterprises” is the company name under which all three businesses fall. The company name comes from a slogan by one Greg and Sharon’s favorite motivational speakers – Zig Zigler. In his book, “Over the Top”, he writes,

“You are at the top when…
1. You have made friends with your past and are focused on the present and optimistic about the future.
2. You have made friends of your adversaries and have gained the love and respect of those who know you best.
3. You are filled with faith, hope, and love and live without anger, greed, guilt, envy, or thought of revenge.
4. You know that failure to stand for what is morally right is the prelude to being the victim of what is criminally wrong.
5. You are mature enough to delay gratification and shift your focus from your rights to your responsibilities.
6. You love the unlovable and give hope to the hopeless, friendship to the friendless, and encouragement to the discouraged.
7. You know that success (a win) doesn’t make you, and failure (a loss) doesn’t break you.
8. You can look back in forgiveness, forward in hope, down in compassion and up with gratitude.
9. You are secure in who (and whose) so you are at peace with God and in fellowship with man.
10. You clearly understand that failure is an event, not a person; that yesterday ended last night, and today is your brand-new day.
11. You know that “he who would be the greatest among you must become the servant of all.”
12. You are pleasant to the grouch, courteous to the rude, and generous to the needy because you know that the long-term benefits of giving and forgiving far outweigh the short-term benefits of receiving.
13. You recognize, confess, develop, and use your God-given physical, mental, and spiritual abilities to the glory of God and for the benefit of mankind.
14. You stand in front of the Creator of the universe, and He says to you, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

Greg and Sharon feel extremely blessed by the success of each of their businesses and give all the credit to the one completely deserving of it – Jesus Christ.
